Overview
I believe good editing should be equal parts finding places to improve the story and sharing what is working really well. An author's voice is one of the most important parts of a manuscript and my goal is to bring that out and make it shine. I will always provide clear and concise feedback but leave the interpretation of how to translate that to the page for you to decide. Reading a manuscript draft is a privilege, and I know the hard work that goes into writing one. Whatever your vision for your story, I want to help you make it a reality.
"[Laurie's] professionalism means timely and detailed edits that give just the right kind of feedback for an author to take their manuscript to the next level." - Hannah Morse, Romance writer.
"Laurie is a fantastic collaborator. All of her feedback is helpful, thoughtful, and clearly communicated. I can't wait to work with her again in the future." - Jennifer P., Romance writer.
